Ah, the 70’s. A mishmash of bright colours, textures and too much of everything. It’s kitsch overload and I love it.
For example – shag pile carpet. On it’s own, is great. But in the 70’s it was cool to stick it EVERYWHERE! I never understood why people would want to cover their bathrooms in it, seems so unsanitary.

Reminds me of Graceland. Elvis would have loved this, especially the last two photos! Thanks – this is fun!
Took a tour of Elvis’s home at Graceland once, and I will never forget the room in which the same shag carpeting covered not only the floor, stairs, and walls, but the entire ceiling as well. The guide did his very best to convince us that the room was testament to The King’s forward-thinking approach to decorating, but nah…That room was nothing but a warning: do NOT die wealthy, famous, and eccentric during a decade with poor taste.
