I’ve had the dreaded lurgy on and off for the past couple of weeks, feeling especially blergh today. I’m watching Poldark, curled up on the sofa under a blanket with the three C’s – cat, Codral, cough lollies.
Seeing this poorly possum made me smile. (My Dad has always called me ‘possum’).
This tiny little brush-tail possum was injured after being attacked by a dog. But while in recovery, he received a very special handmade gift: a knitted pouch that simulates the warmth and comfort of his mother. The cozies were knit by volunteers from Unitywater, an extended circle of compassionate knitters who regularly stitch up a storm for rescued animals worldwide. (credit: Alex Halford/Australia Zoo)
