To celebrate all things French and delicious for Bastille Day, I’m sharing this fantastic audiobook of The Red Necklace by Sally Gardner, read by Tom Hiddleston.
It’s an adventurous tale of the French Revolution, magic, intrigue and love. Thanks to Tom’s silky voice, eargasms are guaranteed.

‘Chris Pratt Raptor Squad’ meme meets ‘Tom Hiddleston Raptor impersonation’ = pure meme gold.

I’m a Tom Hiddleston fan. For many reasons – his talent, exceptional handsomeness, utter
charmingness, his dancing prowess, self-deprecating sense of humour, the sexual-chocolate
qualities of his voice, his sheer excitement over pretty much everything, the fact that
he’s a total dork and somehow seems charming rather than show-offy when he starts quoting
poetry, or Shakespeare, or speaking in French at random points in conversation… i could
go on. And probably will at some point in another post.
BUT. 2015 is going to be huge for Tom fans because he has THREE movies hitting our cinema
screens, all of which look very exciting: High Rise (based on one of my all-time
favourite books by JG Ballard), I Saw The Light (a biopic based on one of my all-time
favourite singers, Hank Williams), and Crimson Peak (the new Guillermo del Toro movie
based on one of my all-time favourite genres, gothic horror). It’s the Tompocalypse and
I’m not sure I’m going to survive.
Case in point: the character posters for Crimson Peak have just been released. Is it just
me, or does Tom, in character as brooding Sir Thomas Sharpe, look a bit Loki? No
complaints from me. The film also stars Mia Wasikowska, who was brilliant with Tom in
Only Lovers Left Alive and Fassbender in Jane Eyre. Swoon!
Listening to Tom in this Crimson Peak on-set interview for Collider makes me even more
excited (and weak at the knees) about this film’s release. Hurry up, October!!
Do you follow Lego Loki? You really should, he’s brilliant. Here’s his take on the
